Traditional Storytelling

Native American Storytelling

The passing on of stories from the ancient times to each generation is a key component of Native oral tradition. The RiverWinds enjoy telling traditional stories of ancient days. Some of them are purely entertaining but many tell what we can learn from nature and also valuable lessons for character-building.

“Tell me the facts and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in the heart forever.” – Native Proverb

Medicinal Herbs

Teaching Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is an integral component of past, present, and future indigenous ways. Dr. Laralyn RiverWind is a Doctor of Naturopathy and a Master Herbalist. Having begun her studies under her father as a youth and still continuing to learn from experts worldwide, she is happy to share her knowledge of plant medicine with others in lectures and conferences.

Archaeology & History

The RiverWinds in Jerusalem

The past is still with us, waiting to be consulted of her wisdom; hoping that we will learn her rich lessons for a better future. The RiverWinds have a passion for history and archaeology and enjoy sharing what they know with others and learning from those who likewise have a heart for exchange of knowledge.

"Tell me and I'll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I'll understand." ~ Native Proverb
